Royal Observatory Greenwich continue their SPACESHIP SEASON and Silver Screen Science-Fiction film screenings on Saturday 9th July with APOLLO 13 (1995).

Apollo 13 was viewed as ‘just’ another trip to Moon in 1970, until an explosion two days into the mission…

A routine flight turns into a fight for survival for the three astronauts on board.

Starring: Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise and Ed Harris.

Enjoy classic and contemporary screenings of cult sci-fi movies in our planetarium, followed by a short talk on the science behind the fiction.
