Film poster for The Survivalist

Join Stanley’s Film Club on Wednesday 6th July for a screening of beautiful dystopian drama THE SURVIVALIST (2015; cert. 18).

What would you do if every stranger posed a threat to your very existence? Stephen Fingleton’s BAFTA-nominated directorial debut The Survivalist is a gripping thriller set in a bleak but beautiful post-apocalyptic world.

In a time of starvation where the only option is kill or be killed, a survivalist lives off a small plot of land hidden deep in a forest. When two women seeking food and shelter discover his farm, he finds himself torn between suspicion and temptation.

With its unsettling raw soundtrack, stunning visuals and exceptional performances, this is a masterpiece by a true emerging talent. Followed by a Q&A with director Stephen Fingleton.

This event will be hosted in partnership with Wild In The City!, a local enterprise supporting wellbeing through connection to nature in London’s green and wild spaces through bushcraft and nature awareness experiences. Find out more at
