East Dulwich

We show a film on the third Thursday of every month (and the occasional children’s film on Saturday afternoon), upstairs at the East Dulwich Tavern.

It is a lovely, relaxed space and you can view the large, four-metre screen with a drink in hand from the comfort of a deep buttoned sofa or a comfy chair. You can order drinks from the upstairs bar, and if you want a bite to eat before or after the film, you can choose from the pub’s extensive menu – or enjoy one of the special dishes that link to the theme of each film.

It is our aim to offer more than just films but to create a really good evening for everyone who attends. Films are sometimes accompanied by talks from actors, production crew, critics or writers. Sometimes there is music.
The aim of the small team who have set up The Bigger Picture is to give you a great time whilst giving our profits to support local charities.

Dulwich Film @ The MCT is an independent film club at the Michael Croft Theatre, Alleyn’s School, in the heart of Dulwich. It was born out of a desire to develop the way in which we view film individually and as a community through creative and quality programming.

The MCT provides a perfect environment for young people to discover a wider world of film with family and friends. We aim to offer a diverse programme of screenings including shorts, archive, contemporary, documentaries, festival titles and world cinema.

There will also be opportunities to hear outside speakers, join in forum discussion and creative events run alongside our programmed titles.

We would love to hear your ideas or suggestions at: sarah@dulwichfilm.co.uk

Paradiso logoDulwich Paradiso Community Cinema is a long-established community group showing quality films at reasonable prices in neighbourhood venues in and around East Dulwich.

We have two seasons a year in a room above the Magnolia bar on Lordship Lane, SE22. Visit www.paradisofilm.co.uk to join the emailing list to hear about all upcoming films.

We also are co-organisers of the annual Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festivals, which take place every September.

In addition, our community ‘outreach’ screenings bring the big screen experience to people who might not otherwise have the chance to enjoy it. We show films at local sheltered housing schemes, for example, and also run autism-friendly screenings for children, in partnership with Southwark Autism Support.

Distinction award winner at the 2011 Film Society of the Year Awards.
